Parish Secretary/ Director of Religious Education - David Jones

David Jones, parish secretary and director of religious education, converted to Catholicism at age 24. His background is varied: he was editor of several newspapers, including the Eastern Oklahoma Catholic. He owned and operated a recording studio in the Tulsa area for several years, and toured nationally as a singer-bass guitarist in a country-rock band. He has dabbled in financial services, in website design, and worked for three years as a fulltime substitute teacher in both public and Catholic schools. He is a member of the Catholic Cursillo movement, and has taught religious education for over 20 years.
He and his wife, Kim, have six children, eighteen grandchildren (at last count), and have been married for 42years. She too is very involved in Catholic education. Residents of Le Flore County for the last decade, they have a 20-acre farm (“all hat, no cattle”), and a dream to one day attend an official game at each of the 30 major league baseball stadiums. Viva Cristo Rey!
